The State and Commerce Committee has primary responsibility for monitoring State of Connecticut legislative and other activities and acts as liaison to elected State officials. In addition, the State & Commerce Committee:
- monitors and reviews city’s economic development activities;
- considers and reports on impact of Federal legislation and other activities;
- monitors state legislation and proposes and recommends city ordinances that take advantage of opportunities provided by such state legislation;
- proposes resolutions expressing Board consensus on state and Federal legislation and other activities.
Typical Meeting Date: The third Wednesday of the month.
